Barr Planning was proud to support Home in Place’s sixth annual Lunch for the Stars, with Director Steve Barr attending the event on behalf of the team.

The annual fundraiser brought together more than 118 guests and raised more than $18,400 to support the Grow a Star scholarship and mentoring program. The initiative helps young people overcome financial and generational barriers by providing opportunities to pursue their goals in education, sport, the arts and community leadership.

At Barr Planning, we believe strong communities are built by creating opportunities for future generations. Supporting programs like Grow a Star reflects our commitment to investing in initiatives that empower young people to achieve their potential and make a positive impact in their communities.

The afternoon featured an inspiring conversation with guest speaker Myf Warhurst, who reflected on the importance of curiosity, creativity and backing yourself, while reinforcing the message that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Guests also celebrated the presentation of three Grow a Star scholarships, recognising young people whose determination and passion continue to inspire those around them.
